Assistant Sales Manager Catering & Events
SCOPE
Ensure the yearly sales budget is achieved and surpassed by assisting to and cooperating with the Director of Sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for wedding & social events.
- Attend internal Meetings and Conference Calls, and Client Appointments and Client Events.
- Conduct site inspections.
- Adhere to the Corporate SOP’s.
- Detailed knowledge of competitor set.
- Detailed knowledge of all services provided by the Hotel and all relevant facts and figures of hotel.
- SMART contracting to ensure optimum yielding during annual rate negotiations.
- Attend trade shows, sales blitz, workshops, etc. in the assigned markets.
- Assist the Sales Manager, Catering & Wedding, with the preparation of the annual budget and the quarterly & monthly revenue forecasts especially utilizing knowledge of the history and positioning of competitive hotels and trends in the local marketplace.
- Follow up of tentative bookings in the assigned markets.
- Understand, and follow the Company Sales Vision.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Turkish nationality
- University degree
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a luxury hotel with a similar role in catering & wedding department.
- Excellent oral and written skills both in Turkish and English
- Additional language - beneficial
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, (Excel/PowerPoint/Word)
- Micros Fidelio Opera and Sales & Catering
